Community Training Centre is a registered Automated
Test Centre for ECDL, using Enlight Automated Testing System.
Exams can be held on demand.
The European Computer Driving Licence builds around
a special user-friendly skills card. This card records the skills
you demonstrate in each of the seven computer related modules.
As you pass each module successfully, the corresponding skill
is noted in your card. The final achievement of a full card
leads to the award of your licence. The modules are of a practical
nature and consist of tasks relating to computer operation in
the following areas.
• Basic concepts of Information Technology.
• Using a computer and managing files.
• Word processing
• Information network services
A detailed syllabus is available listing details of all modules
covered in the ECDL.

Credit Value: 2 Credits at
level 4 or 1 credit at level 5
Duration: Tutor-led Course 50 hours or interactive
Computer based self-paced, flexible learning.
Advanced Word Processing
This will verify your confidence at Advanced level in Word Processing
and teach you how to produce professional documents. Upon completion
participants will be able to:
advanced text, paragraph, column and table formatting. Convert
text to a table and vice versa
•Work with referencing features like footnotes, endnotes
and captions. Create tables of contents, indexes and cross-references
•Enhance productivity by using fields, forms and templates
•Apply advanced mail merge techniques and work with automation
features, such as macros
•Use linking and embedding features to integrate data
•Collaborate on and review documents. Work with master
documents and sub-documents. Apply document security features
•Work with watermarks, sections, and headers and footers
within a document
