Aimed at beginners, this course covers Internet basics. It includes using email and search engines as well social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Skype. It also covers online banking, shopping and ticket purchasing.
Cost: This course is completely free, funded by the Department of Communications,
Energy & Natural Resources, in association with Carlow CEB.

Computer Literacy
A Beginner level course, it covers:
• Computer Components- Basic understanding of the components that make up a computer, as well as providing instructions on how to use them safely
• Microsoft Word- a commonly used word processing program. Includes how to create, edit and print documents and letters.
• Microsoft Excel- a spreadsheet program use to keep records and accounts.
• Internet Basics- including how to use hyperlinks and search engines, as well as creatin g and receiving emails.
Qualification: FETAC Level 3.

Digital Beginners Photography
course which will give you a step by step guide to getting the best use out of your digital camera, learn how your camera buttons work and how to take better pictures. A field trip will be organised during the course and an assessment of the photographs you take. On the first night students bring their camera, fully charged with a blank memory
